Latin Name: Hedera helix
Description: Woody vine also used as a ground cover.
Has have alternate, palmately-lobed, dark green leaves with lighter green
veins. Flowers are uncommon but are borne in small umbrella-like clusters
and produce small black berries.
Poisonous Parts: Leaves, berries. Low toxicity. A saponic
glycoside, the aglycone hederagenin, is found in the leaves and berries.
Symptoms: Labored breathing, oral irritation, stomach irritation,
diarrhea, coma.
