Latin Name:  Hyoscyamus niger
Description: Member of the Nightshade family.  Coarse, hair, bad-smelling plant with alternate, bluntly lobed leaves.  Bell-shaped flowers with a dull yellow, five pointed tube streaked with purple and a green five pointed calyx.
Poisonous Parts: Leaves, seeds.  Contains hycoscyamine, hycoscine (scopolamine) and atropine alkaloids.  Highly toxic.
Symptoms: Affects nervous system.
