Latin Name:  Cannabis sativa
Description: Coarse, roughly hary, herbaceous annual growing up to 6 feet high.  Has opposite leaves of lower part of plant which are compised of 3-7 saw-toothed, long narrow leaflets.
Poisonous Parts:  Leaves, stems, flowers, seeds.  Low toxicity.  Toxic component is the tetrahydrocannabinol resin.  Also has alkaloids and glycosides.
Symptoms: Hallucogenic. Blurred vision, coma, drowsiness, loss of coordination.
Treatment: In most cases, effects wear off in a few hours with little or no permanent damage.  In the case of massive poisoning, contact your veterinarian as soon as possible as emergency evacuation of the gastrointestinal tract may be required.
